Another day, another dreamy baked oats flavour to try! I'm a sucker for oreos – did you know they're vegan friendly?! So, why I've not included them in my favourite breakfast dish before is beyond me. Anyway! Now it's been done, it's definitely going to be one of my go-tos for when I really fancy munching down on a packet of Oreos. This way I get a taste of oreo, satisfy my sugar craving and feel full while only using up the number of points it would be for two cookies!
Serves 1
5 SmartPoint
Ingredients
40 g oats
1 scoop cookies + cream protein powder
1 banana
3 tbsp fat free natural / Greek yoghurt
30ml skimmed milk (optional)
1 eggs
1 tsp low-sugar chocolate spread
1 oreo cookie
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180ºC / Gas Mark 5
- Mix the oats and protein powder together in a bowl, before adding in one whisked egg
- Then add the milk to loosen the mixture a little and the yoghurt (depending on how dry you like your oats will determine how much or little of the wet ingredients you'd use)
- Roughly chop the banana and stir into the mixture (it doesn't affect the flavour much but adds some extra goodness and keeps it nicely moist)
- Pour the mixture into an ovenproof dish
- Bake in the warm oven for 20-25 minutes until set and golden on top
- Smother the chocolate spread on the top and sprinkle the crumbs of an oreo
Time to eat!
